Terms of Use

1. The service
SubWhisper Pro transcribes and translates audio and video into subtitles. It needs an internet connection: the extracted audio and the text to translate are processed by cloud providers.
2. Plans and limits
| Plan | Limits per calendar month |
|---|---|
| Pro | 15 hours of transcription, 50 transcriptions, 500 translations. |
| 14-day trial | 2 hours of transcription, 10 transcriptions, 100 translations. |
Long files are split into segments, and each segment counts as one transcription. Hours count the length of the audio sent for transcription. Limits restart on the 1st of each month at midnight UTC.
The app shows a warning from 80% of your monthly hours. Once the limit is reached, transcription stops until the 1st of the next month.
3. Subscription and cancellation
Polar is the seller (merchant of record). The price is shown before you pay. You can cancel at any time from your Polar customer portal; access continues until the end of the period already paid.
4. Changes to the service
We may change the service for a valid reason, such as a change in the cost of a provider, in the law or in security needs. If a change to a paid plan is more than minor, we tell you in advance and clearly, and you may cancel free of charge within 30 days.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use SubWhisper Pro to break the law, to infringe the rights of others, or to overload or get around the service, its limits or its security. Do not share your licence key. You are responsible for the files you process. We may suspend access in case of serious or repeated breach.
6. Availability and accuracy
The service relies on third-party providers and may be interrupted. Transcriptions and translations can contain errors: check them before publishing.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits the rights that consumer law gives you. Within those limits, we are not liable for indirect loss caused by an interruption or an error of the service.
8. Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the mandatory protections of the country where you live.
